Science Central Pilot Group

Thank you for your participation in this exciting opportunity to try out and test this new resource before it goes live. Science Central was created to enable website visitors to find and consume content they want to see quickly and easily. There are four methods to accomplish that goal that you will be setting up, testing and hopefully returning to often for your latest science. Everything you need to test and utilize the resource on your own timeline is accessible through this page. Your feedback is invaluable to ensuring that Science Central best meets your and your colleagues' content needs. We greatly appreciate your time and input.

The content you want to see, customized to you.

We ask that you please refrain from sharing the link and details of this pilot and Science Central with others.

Navigating this Page

Screenshot of landing page to review how to use it 1) Top navigation

Above the welcome paragraph, you will see five navigation links:

Role of the Pilot Participant - This page will share what participation in this pilot group entails.

Getting StartedThis page is where you will see all the assignments the pilot group will be asked to complete. Each section will walk you through setting up your ‘My Page’ and the other methods for finding the content you want to see. Each section will have a complementary link to a feedback form, which can also be accessed from the Feedback Forms page.

VideosThis page consolidates all the supporting videos from the various sections in one place for ease of access.

FeedbackThis page consolidates all the feedback forms from each assignment in a single location. The Quick Feedback button at the top can be used to report a specific bug, share something you would like to see, or any other comment that may come to mind as you peruse the Science Central resource.

My Page – This link will open in a new window tab and take you directly to your customized 'My Page.' There is a one-time set up that is the first exercise on the 'Get Started' page.

2) Navigation buttons under Welcome

For convenience, 'Navigate this Page' anchors to this section under the main category links grouping, and 'Get Started' is another quick link to the page with the 'assignments.'

3) Callout bar with link to “My Page’

Being a primary page that you will want to revisit regularly, this is another link placement for convenience.

4) Main category links

When the site goes live, this is the sub navigation that will drop down from the main professional.heart.org navigation. Because the Communities section is active and these pages are on the live site, we cannot change that navigation item to Science Central at this time. When you are on Assignment 4: Navigation, Sub Navigation and Personalization, this is the navigation where you will begin.
