  • Go to Professional Heart Daily
  • Click the Become a Member button and complete all required data
  • You will receive an email confirmation once you have submitted your order, acknowledging that your order has been placed. This is not a financial receipt.
  • Within 72 hours, you will receive a financial receipt email that confirms your order was fully processed.

How do I add another Council to my Membership?

Emeritus Professionals, Premium Professional Plus, and Premium Professional members are entitled to two (2) free councils and a third for purchase. Early Career, Student/Trainees, General Professionals, and Professional Associates are entitled to one (1) free council and a second for purchase.

How long can I be a Student Trainee or an early Career Member?

You can be a Student/Trainee or an Early Career member for four (4) years at each tier. See upgrade rules below.

Note: If you take a break during either term, the four (4) years will continue counting.

  • You may upgrade from Student/Trainee to Early Career, Premium Professional, or Premium Professional Plus

Members:

American Heart Association members have access to online journals based on their member tier. Review tier benefits by visiting the Professional Membership page on the Professional Heart Daily website.

How do I subscribe to, or renew, my AHA print journal subscription?

Members:

AHA Members may be eligible for significant discounts on the print editions of our scientific journals, including Circulation, based on their member tier. Review tier benefits by visiting the Professional Membership page on the Professional Heart Daily website.

Existing AHA members may purchase a print journal subscription using the following steps:

How do I opt in/out of auto renewal?
  • Go to Professional Heart Daily

    • To opt in, check the “I wish to auto renew my membership” box
    • Complete the credit card form and click Save Changes
    • To opt out, check the “I do not want to auto renew my membership” box and click save changes

How do I get my membership receipt?
  • Go to Professional Heart Daily

  • Click the Account dropdown arrow and then select Receipts
    • Note: Membership transaction receipts will automatically be delivered to your primary email address on file.
    • The receipts will be available for transactions occurring on or after May 1, 2024.
How do I register for AHA Scientific Sessions?

How do I obtain CE credits for Scientific Sessions, the International Stroke Conference, and other specialty conferences?
  1. Access education.heart.org
  2. Click Sign In/Sign Up and sign in with your Username and Password.
    1. If you do not remember your Username or Password, select the Forgot password? link
    2. If you are not a registered user, select Create an account to enter your account information and receive your Username and Password.
  3. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner and select My Library.
  4. Select your activity.
  5. Review the About this Session section.
  6. Click Start Survey to complete the evaluation.
  7. Once completed, click the Submit and Return to Detail Page buttons.
  8. To download a non-accredited completion certificate, click Download Certificate.
  9. Claim your CE credit by clicking Claim CE.
    1. You may qualify for more than one credit type based on your professions.
  10. Enter all required information and click Submit.
  11. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner and select My Account.
  12. Click CE Details.
  13. Click the Download Icon to download your CE Certificate.

Important: ACCME, ANCC, and CAPCE credit must be claimed within six (6) months of attendance. CE credit will no longer be available to claim for this activity after six (6) months of attending.

ACPE Credit must be claimed within 30 days of participation. ACPE credit will no longer be available to claim after the 30-day claiming period has elapsed.

How do I access my certificates?
  • To access a record of your completed educational activities, log onto your account at education.heart.org and click on My Library from the center of the page. This will take you to a list of completed courses.
  • To access earned certificates, click My Certificates and eCards and then click View Certificate for the specific course.
