The council disseminates reliable information related to these fields through its annual conference, many awards and lectures, and the AHA's journal, Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology.

The purpose of the Council on Clinical Cardiology (CLCD) is to achieve the objectives of the American Heart Association (AHA) in the field of clinical cardiology, to promote excellence in clinical care and to foster the professional development and education of clinical cardiologists.
