Welcome to the ATVB Council! Below are several areas in which you can nominate a fellow council member or self-nominate yourself for consideration by the following deadlines. All nominations will be submitted to the ATVB Nominating & Awards Committee for review. Only final and selected candidates will be contacted.

All nominations must be current and engaged members of the ATVB Council. Become a member today.

AHA National Committee Self Nominations
Directions:

Your Council’s Nominating Committee is seeking suggestions from you as they identify individuals who meet or exceed the criteria listed for one of many AHA National Committees. Please utilize the National Committee Descriptions/Competencies to describe why your nominee is a solid candidate for each desired committee.

To apply, please ensure the following:

  • Carefully review the qualifications and criteria for each committee.
  • Limit your response to 500 characters – the “brief rationale” truly needs to be short, sweet, and direct to the point to be considered, so utilize this section wisely and carefully!
  • Finally, please avoid reaching out to the person you are suggesting at this step in the process. Should they move forward, they will be contacted when appropriate.

AHA National Research Award Nominations
These high-level awards will be presented during the Presidential Session at Scientific Session in November.

  • Eugene Braunwald Academic Mentorship Award

  • Both nominations and self-nominations will be accepted.
  • Please review the AHA National Research Award overview to describe why the candidate is a good fit for the desired award.

Rationale does not have a limit – the more information that is pertinent to the award, the better.

ATVB Council Scientific Sessions Awards & Lectures
These high-level awards will be presented at Scientific Sessions in November.

Directions:

  • Both nominations and self-nominations will be accepted.
  • To be considered, please follow the link below and fill out the form with a statement regarding why the candidate qualifies for the desired award based on each awards’ descriptions. The statement does not have a limit – the more information that is pertinent to the award, the better.
