The American Heart Association and the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Medical Society (HCMS) are excited to announce a new collaboration at AHA’s Scientific Sessions 2025.

HCMS will co-locate its annual Scientific Session with the AHA's Scientific Sessions, to be held November 7–10, 2025, in New Orleans. HCMS will plan and deliver their full-day scientific program focused on the latest research advances in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) on Friday, November 7, 2025, while extending HCM research into the AHA Scientific Sessions to reach the broader cardiovascular community as well.

Features of the AHA/HCMS collaboration include:

• Abstracts for HCMS’s Scientific Session will be submitted via the AHA’s Scientific Sessions 2025 portal, following all AHA processes and deadlines. Abstract submitters will self-select the option to submit to HCMS’s Scientific Session. Abstracts accepted and presented at HCMS will be published in the Circulation supplement for AHA’s Scientific Sessions 2025.
• Posters and tabletop exhibits will be a part of the HCMS program. More details will follow.
• Registration for HCMS’s Scientific Sessions will be hosted by AHA. Attendees will be able to register for HCMS’s Scientific Sessions alone or take advantage of a combination registration to attend both HCMS’s and AHA’s Scientific Sessions.
