About the Alumni Network
Welcome New Awardees!
We are pleased to welcome you to the network of than more than 30,000 researchers who have received grants funded by the American Heart Association. For many in this community, an AHA grant was the first and most important source of funding that launched their careers. Researchers at Heart will help you make the most of this researcher network with resources, programs and communications designed to keep you close to the AHA throughout your career.
We created this web hub just for our network of awardees, where you can link to your AHA member profile, be the first to know about upcoming funding opportunities, collaborate, and post professional and personal news. More enhancements are coming soon.
We encourage you to join the new Researchers at Heart LinkedIn group at https://www.linkedin.com/groups/14293563
The AHA’s mission of building healthier lives is supported by funding leading-edge research, advocating for public policy change, and implementing community programs. We can’t understate the importance of your involvement in the AHA. Researchers’ volunteer engagement is essential to the AHA’s success -- and there is a wide array of opportunities for Awardees to further engage with AHA on the science side and in your local community – while assisting your career advancement and broadening your networking potential.
We are thrilled to be part of your professional journey, and we hope you will make the most of this partnership as a member of the Researchers at Heart community. Together, we will make great strides in eradicating cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.

How to Talk About Your AHA Funded Research
Congratulations on your award!
One of the biggest obstacles we face as scientists is being able to convey the importance of our work outside of our circle.
This video will help you with insights, tips, and exercises on how to talk about what you're doing with those in other professions and specialties.
The AHA thanks the Researchers at Heart Oversight Advisory Committee members for their dedication to creating this program. Their input is reflected in every aspect of this program.
