Are you a trainee or early career investigator in the field of cardiovascular outcomes research? Are you interested in becoming more involved in the peer review process at Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes? If so, the Circ CQO editors invite you to consider joining our new Assistant Reviewer program.
Assistant Reviewers will be invited to evaluate key papers submitted to Circ CQO as a third reviewer. When a final decision on the paper has been rendered, you will be able to see the editors’ feedback to the authors in the decision letter, as well as additional reviews provided by more experienced reviewers. You will also have to opportunity to obtain more direct feedback from the Associate Editor who handled the paper.
Peer review is such an important part of the academic process, but we know that younger investigators often have fewer opportunities to engage in it. As Assistant Reviewers, you will be guided through the review process so that you can develop experience as a reviewer and start to build your own reviewer history.
If you are interested in joining the Circ CQO Assistant Reviewer pool, please send your CV and areas of academic interest to Christine Beaty.
We look forward to working with you!
