We are committed to making AHA-funded research more accessible to the public by giving investigators tools to help them explain their work to people who do not have science or medical backgrounds.
Three highly interactive foundational lessons are included in this package: Speak Plainly, Write a Great Lay Summary, and Turn your Lay Summary into a News Release. Instruction is approximately one hour per module.
Current AHA research awardees may use their award travel budgets for personal development activities, such as these.
