New Orleans, Louisiana

The home of jazz, New Orleans is one of the most walkable cities in America and has diverse neighborhoods and culture. Here you can take your choice of more than 22,000 sleeping rooms within a two-mile radius of the Convention Center, downtown and the French Quarter.

Break out the bib for buttery barbecued shrimp. Dive head first into a pile of spicy crawfish. From po-boys to Oysters Rockefeller, from a sweet SnoBall at Hansen’s to flaming Bananas Foster prepared table side at Brennan's, you’ll never be hungry – or bored – when dining in New Orleans.

The New Orleans region is a top flight destination for leisure, conventions and business! For the fourth consecutive year, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (link opens in new window) is the fastest growing airport in the U.S. Today, the millions of passengers traveling from New Orleans can select one of fourteen airlines presently operating at the airport for their air travel needs.

Currently, there are more than 1,200 taxis available on New Orleans' streets and at major hotels and 33 bus and streetcar lines run daily. Airport Shuttle, Inc. is the official ground transportation for Armstrong International Airport, with service to and from New Orleans' hotels and other designated locations. See the New Orleans CVB Transportation page (opens in new window) for maps, trip planning tools, and links to transportation options.
