This Data Bootcamp will guide industry professionals on ways to access and use AHA’s Get With The Guidelines data and cloud-based workspaces to drive research and insights. We’ll discuss how to perform statistical analyses on datasets in the Precision Medicine Platform (PMP) and learn some shortcuts from the AHA data science team.

This Data Bootcamp guides investigators on using AHA’s Precision Medicine Platform (PMP) to drive their research analytics and insights. Researchers can take advantage of the PMP’s cloud-based tools and data, including our Get With the Guidelines (GWTG) datasets, as well as upload their own data for secure, individual use.

VA.CVS.05 TCT at AHA: Aortic Regurgitation: The New Frontier--Imaging, Interventions, and the Future of Treatment

Key topics include valve repair with or without root repair, the Ross procedure versus mechanical valves for long-term outcomes, and various SAVR options, including root enlargement and robotic techniques. This main event will unveil the newly released 2025 AHA/ACC guideline for the prevention, detection, evaluation and treatment of high blood pressure in adults. Guideline leaders will provide an overview of the guideline with a focus on new recommendations and those that differ from prior guidelines. The session will cover the general approach to evaluation and treatment of high blood pressure, then highlight specific recommendations for subgroups related to comorbidities. Practical strategies to promote implementation are key to making meaningful changes and will be discussed by seasoned experts in the field.

Beyond highlighting the most important things to know from the new guideline, the session will take attendees behind the scenes to understand how the writing group found consensus on the most controversial topics. An expert panel will include lead authors from past AHA/ACC guidelines and recent ESC guidelines for critical commentary. Finally, the session will provide attendees with practical applications of the new guidelines to curated challenging cases.
