New Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions Editor-in-Chief: Sunil V. Rao, MD

The Future of Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions Changing, Creating, and Maturing

Call for Nominations: Assistant Editor

Role: To assist in peer review and social media dissemination of published articles.

Eligibility: 1-5 years post interventional fellowship training; self-nominated or nominated by senior colleague/division chair.

Number and Term: 5 total Assistant Editors for a term of 2 years

Selection process: Submission of a nomination form, CV, and evaluation by the Editor-in-Chief, Senior Guest Editors, and Associate Editors

Training and Responsibilities: After their selection, Assistant Editors will undergo training in high quality peer review. Each Associate Editor will be assigned 2-3 Assistant Editors to mentor. The Assistant Editors will be expected to review at least 2 papers per month for Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions. They will also be expected to engage with Circulation: Cardiovascular Intervention’s  Social Media Editor to disseminate accepted papers that were reviewed by Assistant Editors. The Assistant Editor will receive feedback on the quality of their reviews on an as-needed basis. Assistant Editors will be expected to join the AHA as members.
