Late-Breaking Science

Leading researchers will reveal the results of high impact science from clinical registries, observational studies and randomized clinical trials.

Pre-Sessions Symposia and Early Career Day

Early Career

The AHA is committed to the next generation of clinicians and researchers by offering programs to facilitate your career growth and development. If you are a student, trainee, fellow, or early in your career, this is designed for you.

Congenital Heart Disease and Pediatric Cardiology Symposium

This program will focus on congenital and pediatric cardiology, including a showcase of distinguished AHA-supported congenital/pediatric cardiovascular researchers, preventive cardiology, including strategies for proactive practice change, closing gaps in care, and collaboration to prevent cardiovascular disease in children, and a reflection on the American Heart Association’s century-long journey in pediatric and congenital heart care, featuring esteemed speakers.

Heart/Kidney Symposium

This program will explore the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and treatment strategies for three key areas in nephrology, including atherosclerotic vascular disease in advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD), atrial fibrillation in the context of advanced CKD, and hypertension and chronic kidney disease, with international experts discussing the latest developments in these areas.

QCOR at Sessions

The QCOR at Scientific Sessions 2024 is a 1-day program that will be of interest to clinicians, researchers, medical students and trainees, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, healthcare and managed care professionals, policymakers, and other professionals interested in the quality of care and outcomes research in cardiovascular disease and stroke. The program begins on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 8 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m.

International Symposium

This symposium will bring together AHA’s international partners and collaborators to:

  • Learn about AHA’s 2nd Century priorities to improve cardiovascular and brain health internationally.
  • Share global perspectives and opportunities to engage and find solutions through research, evidenced based quality care, and system-wide approaches for improved health from patient to population.
