Born in Oklahoma and raised in Mexico City, Paul Delgado is a first-generation college graduate and third-year medical student at OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. Paul received her BS in Biology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Oklahoma.

She then completed her Master of Science in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHSPH), while simultaneously earning two graduate certificates in Health Disparities & Inequality and Tropical Medicine.

Throughout her career, she has advocated to address the health disparity gap that currently exists in historically marginalized communities through research and community outreach. As a Tulsa Albert Schweitzer Fellow and NMF Health Equity Help Leader (HELP), her projects focused on cardiovascular disease prevention in the Latinx community through a culturally sensitive curriculum.

Paul is also passionate about diversifying medicine and building supportive networks for underrepresented minority students in STEM and medicine. She serves as a Student Ambassador at the OSU Center for Health Sciences and participated in the DEI Task Force committee, where has had the chance to advocate for the increased representation of minority students in medicine. She is a strong believer that the goal is not to be the one and only, but one of more to come.

This is why she founded the first Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) chapter in the state of Oklahoma during her first year of medical school, later served as the Program Chair for the LMSA Southwest Region, and currently serves as the LMSA National Academic Affairs Chair.

Her plans include continuing to address the existing health disparities that disproportionally impact communities of color, increasing the representation of students in medicine, and pursuing a career in cardiology".
