Nataly Montaño Vargas is currently a Doctor of Medicine candidate at Stanford University School of Medicine, expected to graduate in June 2027. She holds a Master of Science in Medical Sciences from Brown University and an Executive Certificate in Health Care Leadership and Management from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Nataly earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, Magna Cum Laude, from Texas Tech University, where she also minored in Chemistry and Spanish. Nataly's research career spans several prestigious institutions. She worked as a Clinical Research Specialist at Boston Children's Hospital in the Division of Cardiovascular Critical Care, where she managed clinical studies and contributed to research funding applications. Before that, she served as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at The George Washington University, focusing on emergency medicine clinical trials. At Johns Hopkins University, she assisted in the MISTIE III Phase 3 trial on brain injury outcomes. In addition to her academic and research pursuits, Nataly has authored several peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Critical Care Medicine and The American Journal of Emergency Medicine. Her work covers a range of medical topics, including infectious diseases, stroke trials, and COVID-19. Nataly's leadership roles include serving as the Mentorship Chair for the Stanford Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) and co-chairing the 2024 Stanford University Minority Medical Alliance Conference. She has also been an active volunteer, dedicating time to organizations like Clínica Esperanza, a free clinic in Rhode Island, and the Virginia Medical Reserve Corps. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Nataly is passionate about advancing healthcare through research and leadership, with a strong focus on minority health outcomes and healthcare equity.
