Cryptogenic Stroke: Cardiac Monitoring and the Role of Cardiopathy

April 17, 2018 | 12:00PM CST

Each year approximately one third of ischemic strokes in the United States are classified as cryptogenic. While many strokes can be traced to cardioembolic, atherosclerotic or lacunar causes, between 10% and 40% are classified as cryptogenic. With limited guidelines, many professionals diagnose and treat cryptogenic stroke differently. This webinar is the second one in a series of three webinars that will discuss the identification of cardiac monitoring modalities and discuss the potential role of atrial cardiopathy in cryptogenic stroke and its implications for post-stroke management.
