Maria Delgado-Lelievre, MD, is a distinguished Hypertension Specialist at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. Her clinical focus centers on the innovative, state-of-the-art, and comprehensive evaluation and treatment of hypertension disease, encompassing its cardiovascular and cardiometabolic implications.

In her role as the Founder & Director of the American Heart Association-certified Comprehensive Hypertension Center at the University of Miami, Dr. Delgado-Lelievre leads the first hypertension center in Florida accredited by the American Heart Association. Remarkably, this center stands as the exclusive facility in South Florida to achieve the American Heart and American Medical Association's 2023 Gold Plus Award for outstanding blood pressure control. Certified as a Hypertension Specialist by the American Heart Association, Dr. Delgado-Lelievre completed her clinical and research fellowship in Hypertension at the University of Michigan and her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Health System.

Hailing from Venezuela, her fervent commitment lies in the comprehensive understanding and management of Hypertension Disease and its cardiovascular and cardiometabolic ramifications.
