Speed Mentoring Conferences

Speed Mentoring offers conference-registered members the opportunity to sign up for one-on-one mentoring sessions held onsite. It’s a chance to connect with someone outside their institution or current job specialty.

To be a Mentor

  1. ACTION REQUIRED: Register for the conference
  2. ACTION REQUIRED: Email [email protected] with the subject line "Mentor."
    • In the body of the email, provide a list of the 30-minute time slots you are available for speed mentoring.
  3. A list of all mentors will be compiled and shared with members attending the conference to select their preferred mentor and meeting time.
  4. Mentors will receive an Outlook calendar notice with the mentee’s name, date, time, and location to meet their mentee.
  5. After receiving the calendar notice, any changes to the date, time or availability must be made via email to the mentee directly.

To be a Mentee

  1. ACTION REQUIRED: Register for the conference
  2. ACTION REQUIRED: Email [email protected] with the subject line "Mentee."
  3. A list of mentors and their available 30-minute time slots will be sent to members attending the conferences.
    • ACTION REQUIRED: Identify four preferred dates, times, and mentors you're interested in meeting during the conference. Sessions will be scheduled on a first come first served basis.
  4. Mentees will receive an Outlook calendar notice with the mentor’s name, date, time, and location to meet their mentor.
  5. After receiving the calendar notice, any changes to the date, time or availability must be made via email to the mentor directly.
Note: Mentees should come prepared with their CV and a topic or question to discuss with their mentor.

Upcoming Conferences

Mentors and mentees MUST be registered for the conference to participate in Speed Mentoring. Once registration is confirmed, you will be added to the relevant communications.
