Dr. Jiang Chang is a Professor in the Department of Translational Medical Sciences at the Institute of Biosciences and Technology (IBT), Texas A&M University College of Medicine, where he has served since 2005. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and delivered more than 80 presentations at national and international scientific conferences.

His research centers on elucidating the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying pathological cardiac remodeling induced by metabolic, ischemic and hemodynamic stress. His work aims to advance translational strategies for preventing and treating cardiac dysfunction, as well as promoting cardiac repair.

Throughout his career, Dr. Chang has received numerous honors, including the NIH Independent Scientist Award, the American Heart Association Innovative Research Award, the Lyndon B. Johnson Research Award, the Texas A&M University Chancellor’s EDGES Fellowship and the Research Excellence Award. In 2023, he was recognized with the Robert M. Berne Distinguished Lectureship by the American Physiological Society.
