Council on Hypertension Distinguished Achievement Award

To qualify for this award, you must meet the following deadlines:
- May 29, 2025 – Deadline to have an active AHA membership with the Council on Hypertension.
- May 30, 2025, 6 p.m. (CT) – Deadline to apply for this award in the Council Awards System.
The HTN Distinguished Achievement Award is presented every three years during the HTN Council Award Banquet at the American Heart Association's Hypertension Scientific Sessions. The award recognizes Council on Hypertension members who have made major contributions to the affairs of the HTN Council over a continuing period, and who have made substantial professional contributions to the field represented by the council.
- Contributions to new knowledge in the field
- Contributions to teaching or clinical care in the field
- Professional leadership in national or international organizations
Suggested nominees for the Distinguished Achievement Award may be submitted to the HTN Leadership Committee by email. Current members of the HTN Leadership Committee and the HTN Nominating Committee are not eligible to be nominated for the award.
