Recent Breakthroughs in Cardiac Repair and Therapeutics to Prevent Heart Failure
Jianyi "Jay" Zhang, MD, PhD presented groundbreaking cardiac repair research at the AHA BCVS Scientific Sessions. In this video, moderator Edward Thorp, PhD and Dr. Zhang discuss a number of new developments that will help advance research in the field, including a novel optical approach examining arrhythmia in large hearts after iPSC-derived cardiomyocyte implantation, ongoing clinical trials, and new mRNA technology targeting cyclin pathways in cardiomyocytes, potentially "turning back the clock" on heart cells.
