Constantino S. Peña is an interventional radiologist at the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute at Baptist Hospital in Miami Florida, where he serves as the Section Head for Interventional Radiology and Medical Director of Vascular Imaging. He is the National Subspecialty Lead for Interventional Radiology for Radiology Partners and Chairman of the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute’s Management Company.
Dr. Peña completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology as well as a Vascular and Interventional fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He has served on the Annual Meeting Committee of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and as Meeting Chairman. He has also served as Chair of the American Heart Association’s Council on Cardiovascular Radiology and Intervention and a board member of the Computed Tomography Imaging Accreditation Program of the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission. He’s been on committees for many professional organizations, including the American Board of Radiology (ABR), American College of Radiology (ACR), Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and the SIR. Dr. Peña is a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology, American Heart Association and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
Dr. Peña has authored and co-authored many scientific articles and chapters that have been published in medical journals, including the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Journal of Vascular Surgery, and American Journal of Radiology. He has also presented numerous lectures and education sessions for doctors on clinical research trials, atherosclerotic occlusive disease, aortic aneurysms, uterine artery embolization, peripheral angiography and vascular imaging.
