Two Exciting Conferences in One Historic City

In 2027, the American Heart Association will co-locate two of its premier basic science meetings: the Basic Cardiovascular Sciences (BCVS) Scientific Sessions and Vascular Discovery Scientific Sessions are now consecutive, back-to-back events.

  • BCVS: Monday, July 19 – Thursday, July 22, 2027
  • Vascular Discovery: Thursday, July 22 – Sunday, July 25, 2027
  • Location: The Westin Boston Seaport, Boston, Massachusetts

By holding the meetings consecutively at the same venue, the American Heart Association aims to better serve the cardiovascular research community by:

  • Bringing together the best of the American Heart Association basic science and translational science for idea sharing, collaboration, and cross-science engagement.
  • Reducing travel and lodging expenses for attendees.
  • Minimizing time away from research, training, and clinical responsibilities.
  • Offering flexibility for individuals wishing to attend one or both meetings.

Each meeting will maintain its unique identity, including dedicated abstract categories, distinct program sessions, separate program committees, and offering specific scientific content for its core audience. Single meeting registration will continue to be offered, ensuring flexibility for all attendees.

At the same time, the co-location will create opportunities for optional cross-programming designed to foster broader collaboration across the cardiovascular and vascular communities.
