Call for Clinical-Pathological Conference Cases
Hypertension an American Heart Association Journal plans to host a discussion of two clinical cases at the AHA Council on Hypertension/Society of Hypertension Joint Scientific Sessions 2017 in San Francisco, Sept 14–17.
Two selected clinical cases will be presented and discussed in an audience participatory session. Presentations will be filmed and made available on the Journal’s website shortly after the meeting. A summary of the case and discussion may also be invited for publication in Hypertension. Examples of previously filmed and published clinical cases are available on Hypertension’s website.
Submitted cases should stimulate discussion on all aspects of hypertension with a focus on effective clinical management. Submissions must include:
- Presenter names, affiliations, conflict of interest disclosures
- Camera ready presentation (Microsoft Powerpoint file preferred)
- A minimum of three discussion-generating “brainteaser” questions
Two person teams are encouraged with preference given to a team consisting of an early career presenter and his/her mentor.
Send submissions to the Hypertension editorial office by June 2, with the subject line Council on Hypertension 2017 clinical case. Questions may be directed to Denise Kuo, Hypertension editorial office.
