PVD Mid-Career Award & Lecture

The PVD Mid-Career Award & Lecture recognizes an outstanding member of the PVD Council who is in the mid-career status of his or her institution. The winner of the PVD Mid-Career Award & Lecture will present a lecture on a topic of their choice in a special plenary session of Vascular Discovery: From Genes to Medicine Scientific Sessions.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be an active member of the PVD Council.
• Qualified candidates may include those above the fellow-in-training level or an assistant/associate professor who has not yet achieved full professor.
• The member’s science should represent advanced research and scientific knowledge in the PVD field.

Current members of the PVD Leadership or the Committee PVD Nominating Committee are not eligible to apply for or be nominated for the award.

How to Apply or Make a Nomination

The nomination file should contain the following documents in PDF format:

1. A letter of nomination or candidate statement (if self-nominating), drafted on electronic letterhead with a signature. The letter should outline and provide clear examples of how the candidate meets the criteria.
2. The candidate’s curriculum vitae, including bibliography.

Prize

The honoree will receive:

• Complimentary registration to the Vascular Discovery: From Genes to Medicine Scientific Sessions
• One (1) complimentary ticket to the ATVB & PVD Joint Council Dinner. 
• An engraved plaque
• Reimbursement for eligible travel expenses up to $1,000
